I would tend towards recommending MinGW ahead of Bloodshed .... but it's
probably just a matter of non-IDE vs IDE ?? (I don't know much about
Bloodshed .... I'm just making my judgement/question on the basis of what
Google turned up.)

Have ActiveState fixed their "seamless" interface to the MinGW compiler ? I
can't build PAR-0.957 with the MinGW compiler and build 817(straight out of
the box, anyway), but perhaps those issues have been fixed with build 819.
(I'm waiting for build 820 before I update and test again :-)
